The weekend has come for the reunion. We are all gathering here in Nashville to swap sea stories, enjoy each others company and remember shipmates who have passed.
September 23rd activities: Mike “toad” Birthday. Activities for the day will include a trip to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. The trip will be hosted by Charlie Budenz and will depart from the hotel at 0900. The tour will include a visit to the restoration shop as well as the building where the off exhibit Corvettes are stored.
September 24th activities: A trip to the Franklin, TN Battlefield which occurred November 30, 1864. This battle ended the life of the Army of Tennessee and allowed the North to regain control of the State of Tennessee.
In the evening at 6:30pm there will a cash bar at The Inn at Opryland Motel, dinner will follow at 7:00pm. Our entertainers, Dave Salyer & Daphne Anderson will perform for the enjoyment of all.
September 25th: We will gather at Centennial Park at 10:00am for our business meeting, lunch will follow at 12:00pm. At 1:00pm the bell ceremony will begin to honor our departed shipmates and spouses, followed by Taps.
At 5:00pm we will be entertained by a portion of the Nashville Pipes and drums, followed by a full Memphis BBQ at 6:00pm.
September 26th (TBA) Brunch at The Opryland Hotel.
Wish I was there my friends and sharing a cold adult beverage beside the pool. Stay safe and have fun! I’ll see you guys at our next reunion, god willing and we don’t get our flight canceled due to the APS-115 radar system crashing🤣👍😎
